Biography
Hoda Kotb rose to NBC's long-running morning talk show Today in 2008, hosting the show's fourth hour for a decade prior to moving to the main seat a decade later. It was a career capper for a journalist who first began broadcasting in 1986, when she was a morning anchor for WQAD-TV in Moline, Illinois. Kotb spent the next decade bouncing between Florida and New Orleans, landing a job at NBC News in 1998, where she served as a national correspondent in addition to a role as a contributing anchor for Dateline NBC. Still, it was the gig at The Today Show that turned Hoda Kotb into a celebrity, one that was big enough to cameo as herself in TV series and movies. She intersected with music in 2018, when her children's book I've Loved You Since Forever was adapted in song by Kelly Clarkson. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
