Biography
Alex Germains, Ceri James, and Tomas Kelar produce the stylish electronic beats of the Mountaineers. Born and bred in Wales but based in Liverpool, the Mountaineers were discovered by Deltasonic's Alan Willis in the late '90s. In late 2001, they made their proper debut with the release of a limited-edition EP, tagged the Red Thong EP by the English press. The Mountaineers were on the rise, and two years later signed with Mute in the U.S. and issued another EP, this time self-titled. The band's studio full-length, Messy Century, arrived late 2003. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, Rovi
