Phil Foster, born Arthur Cohen in Brooklyn, was best known to 1950s and early '60s audiences as a standup comic, and to television viewers of the 1970s as an actor, for his guest appearances on shows like #The Odd Couple, and his portrayal of Frank DeFazio, the father of Laverne DeFazio (Penny Marshall) on #Laverne and Shirley.
