Biography
Vocalist Jean Baylor is a soulful performer who first came to the public's attention as one-half of the R&B duo Zhané. It was while attending Temple University in the early '90s that Baylor (then known as Jean Norris) formed Zhané with fellow classmate Renée Neufville. Together, they recorded two well-received albums and scored several hits including 1993's "Hey Mr. DJ" and 1994's "Sending My Love." After Zhané broke up, Baylor married Yellowjackets drummer Marcus Baylor and the two began collaborating on music as the Baylor Project. In 2017, they released their debut full-length album The Journey, which went on to earn two Grammy Award nominations. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
