Biography
A multifaceted American rock band based out of Montgomery County, Maryland, Lionize's signature blend of rock, punk, reggae, heavy metal, dub, and funk was inspired by the diverse Washington, D.C. scene that spawned crossover faves like Bad Brains, Clutch, and Fugazi. Formed in 2003, the band began pushing boundaries in 2005 with the release of its debut album, Danger My Dear. Arriving in 2008, Space Pope and the Glass Machine was recorded in Jamaica at Harry J Studios, where Bob Marley cut some of his biggest hits, and 2014's Jetpack Soundtrack saw the band deliver its heaviest and most rock-oriented set to date. Lionize inked a deal with The End Records for their fourth studio long-player, 2017's Nuclear Soul. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi
