A registered silversmith, Colin Ross is one of the world's foremost builders of Northumberland smallpipes. Inspired by 19th century pipemaker Robert Reid, Ross has been designing and building his own pipes since the early '60s. He turned professional in 1978. Ross has also designed and built Scottish smallpipes, in the keys of D, C, Bb, and A, and Lowland or half-long pipes in the keys of G, A, and Bb. ~ Craig Harris, Rovi
