Djinn is a space-ambient rock collaborative project between former Hawkwind bassist Alan Davey and vocalist Bridget Wishart, who sang lead for Hawkwind from 1989 to 1991. Employing a heady blend of ambient synths, driving beats, and Islamic traditional music, Davey and Wishart explore the concept -- and occasional glorification -- of the supernatural Middle Eastern creatures that serve as the project's namesake.
