Born Edgardo Cuevas Feliciano, Lyanno originally recorded as a teenager under the name Gardo, emphasizing reggaeton above all other styles. He moved into contemporary R&B-flavored material in 2015 with "Fruto Prohibido" and during the next couple years continued to refine his approach with S.O.D.A. and Am, a pair of EPs filled with ballads rooted in trap-style productions. While those releases were unique for their lack of guest appearances, Lyanno didn't shy away from co-starring roles. In 2018, he made commercial headway via a remix of Alex Rose's "Toda," Ozuna's "Luz Apaga" (on which he was featured beside Rauw Alejandro), and Lunay's "A Solas." The first of those three was particularly successful, with views of its official video eclipsing 500 million within a year. Lyanno made numerous featured appearances during 2019 and also released the purely solo "Pa' Que Vuelvas," a return to reggaeton. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
