Biography
Recording just one single in 1966, the Chicago Line Blues Band nevertheless had some members who had done or went on to do interesting things. Singer Mike Patto, previously (like keyboardist Tim Hinckley) in the Bo Street Runners, was later in Timebox, Patto, and Spooky Tooth; bassist Louis Cennamo would later do stints in Renaissance, Steamhammer, and Armageddon; and drummer Viv Prince, of course, had been in the Pretty Things. Their sole and rare Philips 45 had manic British R&B-styled covers of Little Anthony the Imperials' Shimmy Shimmy Ko Ko Bop and Rufus Thomas' Jump Back, and has been reissued on specialty British Invasion collector compilations. ~ Richie Unterberger, Rovi
