Biography
U.K. vocalist/guitarist Mark Andrews played in several bands in England with Joe Jackson, most notably Edward Bear (not to be confused with the Canadian band of the same name which had the Top 40 hit, Last Song, in 1973). Edward Bear proved to be the right training ground for Jackson, who went on to Top 40 success with his first album, Look Sharp. Andrews also benefited from the Edward Bear experience and released an album with his band the Gents, after Jackson's debut entitled Big Boy. Unfortunately, the Gents album did not chart and Andrews never matched Jackson's success. According to Joe Jackson's excellent book -A Cure for Gravity, Mark Andrews is now a chef. ~ Tim Griggs, Rovi
