Jonathan Flaugher
Biography
Jonathan Flaugher has worked extensively in New York as a jazz bassist. Since early 2000, he's been a regular member of the Howard Fishman Quartet. Originally from New Jersey, Flaugher started out on clarinet and saxophone before switching to bass in high school. He majored in jazz studies at SUNY New Paltz, which afforded him the opportunity to play with veteran musicians from the Catskills circuit. After graduating in 1996, Flaugher moved to Brooklyn and soon began graduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music. There he met some of New York's top musicians and began his career as a respected sideman. ~ David R. Adler, Rovi
