Willy Daffern
Biography
Willie Daffern started playing in a band called Hunger as their drummer. That group released an album in 1969, but by 1970 they had broken up. His next group, again as the drummer, was Truk, which released one album. He made his debut as a vocalist with the group Captain Beyond, performing on their third album, Dawn Explosion. After that group broke up, he started working under the name of Willie Dee and did several projects over the next couple of years, including Pipedream with Tim Bogert. He guested on Jan Akkerman's album 3 in 1979. He hooked up with Gary Moore for a year and then continued back into session work after that group split and in 1983, he released a solo album. ~ Gary Hill, Rovi
