A modern heavy metal band steeped in classic metal aesthetics, Crescent Shield are based in Los Angeles, CA, where they were originally founded in 2000 as a side project by vocalist Michael Grant (of Onward) and guitarist Dan DeLucie (of Destiny's End). In due time, though, both men decided to quit their respective groups in order to focus on Crescent Shield, drafting bassist Melanie Sisneros (of New Eden) and drummer Craig Anderson (of Seven Witches) before recording 2006's fantasy-fueled The Last of My Kind album for release through Italy's Cruz Del Sur Music.
