Biography
Argentinian-born Carlos Franzetti started attending piano classes at a very young age. He studied composition after moving to Mexico in 1970. After graduating from New York's Juilliard School, Franzetti became a director. During the following years, he worked with Paquito D'Rivera, Joe Farrell, Mercedes Sosa, and Chaka Khan, among other talented artists, composing the soundtracks for Beat Street, Misunderstood, and The Mambo Kings, and arranging for the Boston Pops Orchestra, Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, and the American Symphony Orchestra.
