Big H
Biography
The alias of grime rapper Adrian Harris, Big H is regarded as one of the most recognizable and influential rappers in his genre, with the likes of Skepta and Scorcher all referencing his vocal style. As part of the north London rap collective Meridian Crew, Harris began his musical career in earnest in 2005 when he, alongside JME and Skepta, created the Boy Better Know label. He subsequently left the Meridian Crew and created the Bloodline Family Collective (whose members included Paper Pablo, Bossman, Meridian Dan, Birdie, 9 Milli Major, Springy P, and President T). The crew would make regular appearances on various London radio stations such as Pulse and Empire, which increased their popularity and made Harris a recognizable voice within the U.K. grime scene. As well as appearing on various members of the Bloodline Collective's solo albums, he released his debut album, Street Crime U.K., in 2009. 2011, however, saw him sentenced and spending time in jail. After serving his time in prison, he released his second studio album, Fire Smoke, in 2013. He soon entered the mainstream chart when he appeared on Meridian Dan's 2014 smash single "German Whip." The single entered the U.K. Top 20 and provided Harris a great platform for his emerging talents beyond the London grime scene. ~ Aneet Nijjar, Rovi
