As chillwave was becoming a common household term in 2010, Oneohtrix Point Never's Dan Lopatin and Tigercity's Joel Ford teamed up in Brooklyn to form the retro-sounding dream pop duo Games. The two childhood friends recorded a 7” single titled Everything Is Working on Hippos in Tanks in August of that year.
