Biography
Falling somewhere between Justin Timberlake, Mike Posner, and Jason Mraz, singer Trevor Wesley had a massive viral hit in 2015 with his single "Chivalry Is Dead." Born and raised in Los Angeles, the soundtrack at Wesley's parents house varied from the Beatles to Ella Fitzgerald. He loved all the music he was exposed to, and yearned to play himself, but ADD got in the way of learning so he had to find alternatives. Thinking of the four corners of a square taught him about 4/4 time, while matching the tones of his mother's vacuum taught him how to approach the piano. The older Wesley shopped his demos until his Only Live Once EP landed in 2013. A major R&B music publication debuted the EP with a weekly "Wesley Wednesdays" feature, and superstar Babyface sang the singer's praises, but the release failed to make a major impact. The Holidays EP followed in 2014 and featured the single "Get 2 Know Me," but 2015 was the year truly filled with "Wesley Wednesdays," as that was the year his "Chivalry Is Dead" went viral. At first, it was his own upload that was the hit, but then a dance video featuring the song was uploaded by choreographer Ian Eastwood and it soon reached over ten million views. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
