Born in Cuba but immigrating to the U.S., Ovi (aka Ovidio Crespo) had always dreamed of a career in the music industry, with artists such as Daddy Yankee and Tego Calderón acting as inspiration. After the release of a slew of tracks throughout 2019 -- including "Sin Pasaporte," "Mi Pasarela," and the Carolina Ross-featuring "Sigue Bailando" -- Ovi found himself part of Jimmy Humilde's Rancho Humilde stable, the home to Natanael Cano and Junior H. At the beginning of 2020, Ovi released his debut album for the label, AMEN, featuring a number of guest spots from the likes of Snow tha Product and Adriel Favela. That October, after Humilde signed a deal with Warner Music to bring his roster to a bigger audience, Ovi issued his sophomore full-length, Buen Viaje. The album once again saw him teaming up with a range of Rancho Humilde artists. He also collaborated with an all-star cast including Cano and Snoop Dogg for the single "Feeling Good." ~ Rich Wilson, Rovi
