Jeff Zeigler
Biography
Jeff Zeigler is a musician, producer, and engineer based in Philadelphia. A longtime fixture of the city's music scene, he runs a studio called Uniform Recording, and has recorded albums by Kurt Vile, the War on Drugs, A Sunny Day in Glasgow, and numerous others. He has also served as the sound engineer for Philly venue Johnny Brenda's, as well as the tour manager and sound engineer for Vile, Frightened Rabbit, and the Twilight Sad. A notable guitarist and synthesizer player, he's been a member of indie and post-rock bands such as Relay and Arc in Round, and he also records solo material under the name Valley Exit. Zeigler has collaborated extensively with another Philly music scene regular, harpist Mary Lattimore. In 2013, the duo premiered their film score to Philippe Garrel's 1968 silent film Le Révélateur. The pair then released Slant of Light on Thrill Jockey in 2014; in 2016, the label released their score for Le Révélateur, and the duo performed the score at film screenings throughout the United States and Europe. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
