Biography
Pop/R&B duo Reggie N' Bollie rose to fame after their appearance on popular U.K. talent contest The X Factor in 2015. The Ghanaian-born artists finished the show in second place, behind 2015 winner Louisa Johnson. Despite failing to win first place, their popularity with viewers and audiences allowed them to launch a career regardless. Among their fans was their X Factor mentor Cheryl Fernandez, who continued to support them in the months after the show. Both Reggie Zippy and Bollie Babeface moved to the U.K. from Ghana in 2010. They were both married with multiple children, a fact that they used as leverage during the reality show, claiming that they wanted to win to provide a better future for their families. Although hesitant at first, Simon Cowell eventually signed them to his Syco Music label, as he often did with any X Factor runners-up who displayed the right potential. A year after their appearance on the reality show, Reggie N' Bollie released their first single, "New Girl," in the lead up to their debut album, which saw release in late 2016. ~ Liam Martin, Rovi
