Tasteful nu-groove and trip-hop soul producer Charles Webster emigrated from Britain to the United States after working with American techno mavericks including Juan Atkins and Derrick May. The producer, engineer and recording artist has worked with RS and Hardkiss, but gained fame with his Love from San Francisco label. Webster's acid-inspired productions as Presence (My Baby, A Better Day, Sense of Danger) became deep house standards, though more respected in Britain than America.
