Offset Jim grew up on the east side of Oakland. His early rap influences included Cash Money acts like the Hot Boys, Bay Area rappers such as the Jacka and E-40, and DMX. Jim became a rapper when his friend ALLBLACK invited him into the studio, and his first recorded appearance was on ALLBLACK's 2017 mixtape No Shame 2. Jim joined the Oakland crew Play Runners Association, and continued guesting on tracks by ALLBLACK and YID, among others. He issued his first EP, No Pressure, in 2019, and his joint collaboration with ALLBLACK, 22nd Ways, came out later in the year. Jim appeared on tracks by G-Eazy, ShooterGang Kony, and Nef the Pharaoh. Rich Off the Pack arrived in 2021, preceded by the Kenny Beats-produced "Face Card." ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
