Jay Prince is a rapper, producer, and Soulection affiliate who counts high-profile DJs Annie Mac and Zane Lowe among the supporters of his mellow and subtly progressive style. A native of East London, England, Prince grew his discography with a slew of independent releases such as Lounge in Paris (2012), Voyage (2013), Mellow Vation (2013), BeFor Our Time (2015), and Beautiful Mercy (2015). These projects set him apart from U.K. grime with down-to-earth lyricism combined with smooth rhythmic contours and mellifluous choruses.
