Biography
Born James Vincent McNichol on (July 2, 1961) in Los Angeles, CA, Jimmy McNichol started his career in the public eye at an early age. One of his first paying jobs was a television commercial for Band-Aids. He was a very photogenic seven-year-old at the time, who had spent many hours on the movie studio lot with his mother, brother, and his talented kid sister Kristy McNichol.

Over the next few years, Jimmy McNichol would appear in many other commercials before going on to television series like Gunsmoke, Little House of the Prairie, and S.W.A.T., and then later others including Stranded, the Fitzpatricks, and Hollywood Teen. McNichol even did a couple of movies and films like #Champions and #Blinded By the Light.

In 1978 Jimmy and his sister Kristy teamed up to record a number of songs for a self-titled brother and sister duo album. The album was released under the RCA Records label and carries disco-flavored tracks done by Jimmy, such as, Girl You Really Got Me Going, Rock 'N' Roll Is Here to Stay, and Box on Wheels. The tune Boogie Oogie Oogie is also on the full-length release, done as a brother and sister duet. Though Jimmy toured to promote the album, performing before huge crowds of screaming female fans, the songs didn't bring a rush to musical stardom, and the duo didn't recorded a second work. ~ Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
