Brodinski
Biography
Bouncing between hip-hop and electronica as if he were a one-man Party Supplies, French DJ and producer Brodinski launched his career with the support of names like 2 Many DJ's, Erol Alkan, and Bugged Out, before he entered the world of hip-hop with the help of Danny Brown, Young Scooter, and Kanye West. Based out of Reims, France, Brodinski debuted in 2007 with the electro 12" "Bad Runner" on Mental Groove. Two years later he helmed the mix CD Bugged Out! Presents Suck My Deck and joined the Southern Fried label by collaborating with Mumdance on the "Eurostarr" single. Another mix CD dropped when Fabriclive 60 arrived in 2011, the same year Brodinski launched his own Bromance label with "Bromance #1," an electro 12" recorded with Gesaffelstein. The Chopped Screwed Mixtape from 2012 found him dropping remixes in a Southern hip-hop style, then he remixed Danny Brown's single "Die Like a Rockstar" that same year. Gesaffelstein and Brodinski partnered again in 2013, this time producing two tracks for Kanye West's monolithic Yeezus album. Two years later he released his debut album, Brava, on the Parlophone label. The LP featured guest appearances from Makonnen, Slim Thug, Young Scooter, and many others. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
