Stonestreet was born in Las Vegas, where she played piano from an early age. Her family moved to Santa Barbara when she was nine. Stonestreet started singing a couple of years later and was entering songwriting competitions by her mid- to late teens. In the late 2000s and early 2010s, she had a string of TV placements on shows such as One Tree Hill ("I Would for You"), Ghost Whisperer ("Don't Leave Me Alone"), and Teen Wolf ("A Little Taste"). With shades of Ingrid Michaelson, her song "You" saw release in 2011. That same year, her "Polaroid" was featured in an ad campaign by the camera manufacturer. Stonestreet was a featured vocalist on EDM duo Tritonal's song "Electric Glow" in 2013, and in January 2014, she formed the pop duo sirenXX with Kat Ostenberg. They released their first single, "I Think I Like You," that April. A few months later, sirenXX was featured on the Top 20 dance hit "Kanye" by Chainsmokers, a song the women also co-wrote.
In demand by then as a songwriting collaborator, she co-wrote songs for Bea Miller ("Dracula"), Mika ("Good Guys"), and Dua Lipa ("IDGAF") over the next couple of years, and was featured on the 2017 single "Freesol" by Seven Lions (producer Jeff Montalvo). The solo Stonestreet single "Bankrupt" followed in early 2018. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
