Biography
During the 2010s, Throbbing Gristle's Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti collaborated with Nik Void of Factory Floor for a series of performances and recordings as Carter Tutti Void. The improvisational sessions, captured on releases like 2015's f(x), consist of pulsating rhythms, gritty feedback, and mutated vocals, blurring the lines between techno, industrial, dark ambient, and post-punk.

The trio first collaborated as part of 2011's Short Circuit Festival (presented by Mute Records), performing a set of ominous but undeniably kinetic songs that owed equal amounts to the members' main projects. Their performance was released by Mute in 2012 as the album Transverse. In 2015, their first studio album f(x) landed, retaining the improvisational spirit of the trio's first collaboration. It was released by Throbbing Gristle's label Industrial Records. Carter Tutti Void gave a few more performances, including a 2017 date in Hull as part of a COUM Transmissions retrospective. They reconvened for what was said to be their final outing in 2019, the studio full-length Triumvirate; this time they released the album through Carter and Tutti's record label Conspiracy International. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
