Danny King was a Birmingham-based vocalist whose first solo single on EMI-Columbia was Tossin' And Turnin' b/w Young Blood. In 1965, he emerged briefly as leader of a Birmingham group called Danny King's Mayfair Set in 1965. Future Move members Roy Wood and Trevor Burton played on King's second single, Pretty Things, and Burton's guitar was present on the follow-up, Amen (My Teenage Prayer).
