Scottish rock ensemble St Deluxe make melodic noise-pop in the tradition of such iconic bands as Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr. Formed by ex-Speeder members guitarists Jamie Cameron and Martin Kirwan, St Deluxe also features drummer Stuart Kidd and bassist Brian McEwan. Growing up in Glasgow, Cameron was exposed to such iconic outfits as the Jesus and Mary Chain, Teenage Fanclub, and others who recorded at his father's local recording studio. This led to a life-long obsession with melodic, guitar-driven pop and even work with the legendary Glasgow indie band BMX Bandits, with whom all of St Deluxe has performed.
