Biography
Hudson is the name of the jazz recording and performing quartet comprising Jack DeJohnette (drums), John Medeski (keyboards), John Scofield (guitar), and Larry Grenadier (bass). The four had worked together in various configurations over two decades. Their name signifies that they all live in upstate New York and had all been influenced in one way or another by other artists who had lived and/or worked there. The group played some festivals and club dates before recording, releasing their self-titled debut offering in the late spring of 2017 -- just in time to celebrate DeJohnette's 75th birthday. ~ Thom Jurek, Rovi
