Biography
The Reggie Workman Ensemble was formed by the bassist in the 1980s. The group's first recording was a live 1986 performance at NYC's Knitting Factory, released as Synthesis on Leo Records. A few years later, another live recording, Images, emerged on the Music Arts label. Both recordings included clarinetist Don Byron, vocalist Jeanne Lee, and percussionist Gerry Hemingway; guitarist Michele Navazio had exited by the second release, while pianist Marilyn Crispell joined on. ~ Joslyn Layne, Rovi
