They following year, Fifth Harmony returned with their sophomore full-length album, 7/27. Named after the date that the group was officially formed during their time on The X Factor, the album featured production from a handful of top-level hitmakers, including DallasK, Stargate, Kygo, and others. Buoyed by the singles "The Life" and "Work from Home," featuring Ty Dolla $ign, 7/27 debuted at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Several months later, Cabello issued her own single, "Bad Things," a duet with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. The track performed well, eventually reaching the Top Ten of the Billboard singles chart in December 2016. On the heels of that success, Cabello announced she was leaving the group to pursue a solo career.
In the summer of 2017, the quartet returned with "Down" featuring rapper Gucci Mane. The track was included on their third studio album, and their first without Cabello, 2017's Fifth Harmony. Also included on the album was the Skrillex- and Poo Bear-produced single "Angel," as well as productions from Ammo, DallasK, the Monsters Strangerz, and others. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
