A collaboration between keyboardist Jason Miles and turntablist DJ Logic, Global Noize make funky, dance-oriented music that mixes world fusion and jazz. They released their debut self-titled album on Shanachie in 2008. Three years later, Global Noize returned with A Prayer for the Planet. In 2013, Global Noize released Sly Reimagined: The Music of Sly and the Family Stone. An homage to funk legend Sly Stone, the album featured appearances from vocalists Falu and Nona Hendrix, as well as trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, saxophonist Jay Rodriguez, and others. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
