Originally from Boston and based in Los Angeles following a formative period in Atlanta, Jones started making headway as a teenager while dual-enrolled in high school and Berklee College of Music. After some guest verses, she made her full-length debut in 2011 with Jones St., a set boasting contributions from the likes of Phife Dawg, Lil John Roberts, and Esperanza Spalding. Jones offered the Love's Trail Mix EP three years later. Another five years passed before a follow-up, but her secondary discography as a guest artist grew considerably, and she issued a few singles highlighted by "Ski Mask Way," on which she connected with inspiration Rah Digga. Two of Jones' biggest releases arrived across 2019 and 2020. First was Ga$ Money, a collaboration with Nameless, followed by Closer Than They Appear, executive produced by Phonte of Little Brother and the Foreign Exchange. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
