Sean Yeaton

Biography
Sean Yeaton is a Brooklyn-based musician and writer best known for playing bass in garage punk band Parquet Courts. A native of Boston, he grew up listening to metal and alternative rock, and eventually punk and hardcore. He played guitar and sang in jazzy post-hardcore group Daniel Striped Tiger, who formed in 2003. The group released several albums and singles on labels such as Alone Records and Clean Plate Records, including split releases with They and the Children and Teenage Cool Kids. After relocating to Brooklyn, Yeaton became the bassist for Parquet Courts, who also featured Teenage Cool Kids' Andrew Savage. The band released several highly acclaimed albums on What's Your Rupture? and Rough Trade. Yeaton also participated in experimental post-rock collective Dweller at the Threshold, and wrote for publications such as Vice and Fader. Yeaton collaborated with songwriter Mark Kozelek (Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon) on an album titled Yellow Kitchen, which was released by Kozelek's Caldo Verde label in 2017. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
