Biography
Aaron Camper is a contemporary R&B singer and songwriter with a background in gospel. The son of a preacher, he performed and recorded with Tye Tribbett following high school and co-wrote "Power," a song on Marvin Sapp's Grammy-nominated album Thirsty. After a few years, he branched out by working with numerous R&B, pop, and dance artists, including Jill Scott, Eric Roberson, Diddy, Justin Timberlake, and David Guetta. In 2011, as he juggled collaborations and performing obligations, he began a solo career with BASSic Black, a label operated by creative partner Adam Blackstone. The first release was a mixtape, Welcome to My World, which featured "Take Off," a song later used as the theme for The Queen Latifah Show. Varied singles such as "Madness," "Breaking My Heart," and "My Heart" were issued from 2012 through 2014. In 2015, Camper issued the moody slow jam "Hypnotizing" and the breezy midtempo cut "Choose You," two of his best songs to that point. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
