Aaron Camper is a contemporary R&B singer and songwriter with a background in gospel. The son of a preacher, he performed and recorded with Tye Tribbett following high school and co-wrote "Power," a song on Marvin Sapp's Grammy-nominated album Thirsty. After a few years, he branched out by working with numerous R&B, pop, and dance artists, including Jill Scott, Eric Roberson, Diddy, Justin Timberlake, and David Guetta. In 2011, as he juggled collaborations and performing obligations, he began a solo career with BASSic Black, a label operated by creative partner Adam Blackstone. The first release was a mixtape, Welcome to My World, which featured "Take Off," a song later used as the theme for The Queen Latifah Show. Varied singles such as "Madness," "Breaking My Heart," and "My Heart" were issued from 2012 through 2014.
