The duo released the single "America" in 2015; it garnered comparisons to Lana Del Ray and Lorde, and was subsequently picked up for a PacSun commercial starring Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The added exposure for the track resulted in over 1.6 million listens on SoundCloud and a number one spot on Hypemachine. In the same year, they also released "Afterlife," performed their first headline show on Oh Wonder in Los Angeles, and signed to Sony Music Entertainment. At the beginning of 2016, XYLØ announced that they would be releasing their first EP, containing all the singles they had put out so far. America appeared in February that year, and following its release, they embarked on an American tour in support of it. They subsequently put out an anti-Donald Trump song, "Fool's Paradise," and later in 2016, the duo were also featured on the Chainsmokers' single "Setting Fires" from their College EP. The following year brought the release of the singles "I Still Wait for You" and "Alive," followed in 2018 by several more singles, including "Heaven Only Knows" and "Tears & Tantrums." The catchy "Nothing Left to Say" appeared in early 2019. ~ Bekki Bemrose, Rovi
