Biography
John Evans was born in 1948. He joined Ian Anderson and Jeffrey Hammond in a group called the Blades, doing the drum work for them. After some changes in lineup, the group became known as the John Evan Band. Evans eventually would play with Anderson and Hammond again, joining Jethro Tull in 1970. He stayed with the band throughout the decade. Along with David Palmer, he formed the group Tallis. When that group did not really become a hit, he began doing building work. He has not returned to music since. ~ Gary Hill, Rovi
