Biography
Drummer Michael Huey began his professional career in Georgia in 1969, hired to play with Tommy Roe. By the early '70s, he was not only drumming for Classics IV, but served as the house drummer for the Lowery Group, playing on sessions by Joe South, Johnny Nash, Clarence Carter, and others. He moved to Los Angeles in 1976 and continued playing sessions as well as touring with the likes of Walter Egan, Lindsey Buckingham, Chris Hillman, Gene Clark, Joe Walsh, Etta James, Albert Collins, and Juice Newton. He was hired to play drums on Glenn Frey's first solo album and continued with Frey for 12 years. After that, Huey decided to concentrate more on publishing and production with his HueyTunes production company. ~ Sean Westergaard, Rovi
