Founded by ex-Woe, Is Me vocalist Tyler Carter and bandmates Michael Bohn, Cory Ferris, and Ben Ferris, the band underwent a series of lineup changes before heading into the studio to record their debut EP. The resulting Black Diamonds, which featured Carter (clean vocals), Bohn (unclean vocals), AJ Rebollo (guitar), Josh Manuel (drums), Skyler Acord (bass), and session musician Tyler Acord (keyboards, turntables, and synths), was released via Rise Records on November 13, 2012. Issues entered the studio in mid-2013 to start work on their self-titled debut album, which was released in February 2014. A genre-blurring mix of metalcore, R&B-tinged pop, and Linkin Park-esque nu-metal DJ breaks, Issues debuted in the Top Ten of the Billboard 100. An acoustic EP, Diamond Dreams, was released later that year, featuring their 2013 stand-alone single "Hooligans." They returned to the studio in 2015 to record their sophomore LP, Headspace, which was released in May 2016. Debuting at number twenty, it would be the last Issues release to feature Bohn, who was let go in 2018. Early 2019 saw Carter release his debut solo album, Moonshine, and later that October, Issues released their third full-length effort, Beautiful Oblivion, which featured a lineup consisting of Carter, Rebollo, Acord, and Manuel. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi
