Unusual to say the least, Dragons of Zynth somehow cut and paste together a dizzying fusion of jazz, punk, dub, funk, soul, and hard rock, a sound that's been referred to as "Afrotek." The band has earned a reputation for its performances, which the band itself calls "audio-physio-psychic." Based in Cleveland, Dragons of Zynth is fronted by New York City-bred twins Aku (vocals, keyboard) and Akwetey (vocals, guitar), who studied music with jazz musician Yusef Lateef. The core of the band includes friends Bizza (drums) and Autry (bass).
