Biography
Miracle is a dark synth pop duo consisting of American electronic musician/composer Steve Moore and British multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Daniel O'Sullivan. Compared to the two musicians' many other ventures, this project recalls the dystopian themes of O'Sullivan's experimental synth pop group Grumbling Fur as well as the nocturnal longing of Moore's Italo-disco-influenced alter ego Lovelock, not to mention the suspense of his soundtrack work. Moore and O'Sullivan first met in 2006, when their respective bands Zombi and Guapo were touring across America together. The duo stayed in touch, and first began working on music together in 2010. Debut EP Fluid Window and singles Good Love and The Visitors all appeared on House Anxiety Records in 2011. Miracle's debut full-length, Mercury, was released by Mike Paradinas' label Planet Mu in 2013. The two kept busy with their respective undertakings, but continued working together as Miracle, and sophomore album The Strife of Love in a Dream was issued by Relapse in 2018. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
