Luli e Lucina
Biography
Having written more than 800 songs together, Luli e Lucina have had their compositions recorded by many artists like Ney Matogrosso (at least one on each of his albums, with few exceptions), who recorded "Fala," "Bandoleiro," "Coração Aprisionado," "Êta Nóis," "Bugre," "Me Rói," "Pedra de Rio." and "O Vira." Luli e Lucina also had their songs recorded by Secos e Molhados, Olívia Byington, Zélia Duncan, Marília Pera, Frenéticas, Nana Caymmi, Tetê Espíndola, Alzira Espíndola, Joyce, Rolando Boldrin. and Wanderléa. The duo came out in 1971, presenting their "Flor Lilás" at the VI FIC. In the same year, they released the double single Flor Lilás (Som Livre), followed by the first LP, Luli e Lucinha (1979). In 1993, they toured through 30 cities in Switzerland and France. Without national recognition, the duo was dissolved in 1997 after recording seven LPs, and Lucina, a regular partner of Zélia Duncan's, departed for her solo career. ~ Alvaro Neder, Rovi
