Hans-Peter Lindstrøm and Thomas Moen Hermansen first began working together around 2003. Their first collaborative single, Further into the Future, appeared on Lindstrøm's Feedelity imprint in late 2004. Lindstrøm Prins Thomas, their debut full-length, arrived on Belgian label Eskimo Recordings in 2005. The duo delivered remixes for artists such as Norwegian dance-pop star Annie ("The Greatest Hit") as well as '80s Italo-disco acts Alexander Robotnick ("The Dark Side of the Spoon") and Answering Service ("Call Me Mr. Telephone"), among others. They also issued additional singles and EPs, including an alternate version of popular album track Boney M Down; the 2007 compact disc Reinterpretations compiled some of this material. In 2009, the pair released the funky, club-friendly non-album single Tirsdagsjam, followed by the more spaced-out full-length II.
Lindstrøm Prins Thomas issued several remixes during the early 2010s, among them Roxy Music's "Avalon" and the Chemical Brothers' "Swoon," and their remix duties picked back up later in the decade, with mixes for Flume, London Grammar, Cerrone, and others. Taking their time to collaborate on material remotely, the duo returned with the Smalltown Supersound-issued album III in 2020. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
