Death Ambient is the name of an instrumental project of innovative improvisers guitarist Fred Frith, bassist Kato Hideki, and downtown figure Ikue Mori on drum machines. The follow-up to their self-titled 1995 debut on John Zorn's Tzadik label was 1999's Synaesthesia, also on Tzadik.
