Biography
Japanese violinist and composer Mari Kimura is active in both modern classical and improvised music. She has performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic and Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and premiered works by Jean-Claude Risset, Toshi Ichiyanagi, and more. Her improvisational abilities have brought her to such improvised music festivals as Musique Action and FIMAV, and recordings of her work with musicians including Henry Kaiser and Robert Dick can be found on the Victo and Random Acoustics labels. ~ Joslyn Layne, Rovi
