Biography
Singer/songwriter Leah Weller is a genre-bending pop artist whose sound builds upon her family's rich musical legacy, blending neo-soul, jazz, and contemporary R&B. She debuted in 2022 with Freedom.
Born in 1991 in London, Weller grew up in a musical family, the daughter of legendary singer/songwriter Paul Weller (the Jam, the Style Council) and vocalist Dee C. Lee (Wham!, the Style Council). She started playing guitar around age 12 after being gifted a guitar for her birthday. While songwriting was an early passion, she first moved into modeling and DJing, working for brands like Vivienne Westwood, Boucheron, Tag Heuer, and others. All the while, she continued to hone her musical identity, singing backup on some of her father's songs and even co-writing his 2021 single "Shades of Blue." In October 2022, Weller released her debut solo album, Freedom, produced and recorded with Steve Craddock. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
