Biography
Detroit-based producer K.I.D.D. got his foot in the door of the music industry via Southern rap, primarily that of former Cash Money Hot Boy B.G. The rapper discovered K.I.D.D. upon moving to Detroit from New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. B.G. was so impressed by the Detroit beatsmith that he worked with him extensively on Livin' Legend (2003), an album comprised almost entirely of K.I.D.D. productions. Subsequent B.G. albums, namely Life After Cash Money (2004) and The Heart of tha Streetz, Vol. 1 (2005), included further K.I.D.D. productions. So did albums by Tone-Tone (Skoolz in Session, 2004), Royce da 5'9 (Independent's Day, 2005), Stephanie K (Intrigue, 2005), K-Deezy (Stuck in My Ways, 2006), Blade Icewood (Blood, Sweat, Tears, 2006), and the Chopper City Boyz (We Got This, 2007). ~ Jason Birchmeier, Rovi
