Biography
The members of this country-rock group have performed in Toronto bands such as Hello Kitty and UIC, among others. In 2001, Precious Little was formed, brought together by a love of traditional country music in the vein of Bobbie Gentry. The band's first show was in August 2001, and followed its debut with opening slots for Jon Langford and the Rheostatics. The group also contributed songs to a Yoko Ono tribute concert. In 2001, Precious Little entered the studio to record its debut album. The debut album, 100 Miles, was released in May 2002 on Mental Block Inc. The group have been compared to Gram Parsons and the Magnetic Fields for its blend of rock and roots country music.
