Marc William Trovillion
Biography
Frankly, the decision to start off by mentioning that this artist is a co-writer of a track entitled I Sucked My Boss's Dick is pure sensationalism, flirts with obscenity, and will probably be personally embarrassing to Nashville bassist Marc Trovillion. Yet it is a winning alternative to describing him as a rhythm section player from a city where that species is as common as discarded pine cones in a forest. It also trumps his use of the nickname "Buddy" and the subsequent confusion this may have caused in reference to other bass buddies such as Buddy Demon and Buddy Edwards.
The naughty song title may not be the high point of Trovillion's collaborations with Kurt Wagner's Lambchop project; he has contributed bass, electronic effects, and even whistling to at least four recordings by this ensemble between 1994 and 2004. The bassist has also recorded and performed with excellent singer/songwriter frontman dudes from both Nashville and neighboring Georgia, Jason Ringenberg and Vic Chesnutt. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, Rovi
